Mission Statement of Long Ireland Lacrosse

  • The primary goal of Long Ireland Lacrosse is to provide fun and celebrate our passion for the game of lacrosse. We want to promote the great game of lacrosse to boys and girls.   We strive to promote family, community, and build character and integrity in our athletes.
  • We are committed to teaching sportsmanship, the power of teamwork and to helping each child develop to their fullest as a lacrosse player.
  • Long Ireland Lacrosse believes good sportsmanship is a way of life and we are committed to providing friendly and fun competition.
  • We believe in giving back to the community, for it is in giving that we receive.
  • In giving of ourselves, we can enrich the lives of others around us. A portion of our proceeds will go to the LEAD THE WAY FUND and Building Homes for Heroes.
  • Army Ranger Lead The Way Fund is a 501c3 non-profit organization established to raise funds in support of disabled U.S. Army Rangers and the families of Rangers who have died, have been injured or are currently serving in harm’s way around the world. The patriots whom we honor through the Lead the Way Fund are men who love their country. They are men who put others before themselves. They are men who are willing to make the ultimate sacrifice so that we and our families may enjoy the freedoms and privileges that come with living in this great country. Our nation will continue to produce young men with all of these admirable qualities. They will leave their small towns to serve, and they will stand up for us and risk life and limb. Through the Lead the Way Fund we will, in turn, be there for them
  • Building Homes for Heroes® is a national non-profit, non-partisan 501(c)(3) organization founded in 2006.

Building Homes for Heroes® is strongly committed to rebuilding lives and supporting the brave men and women who were injured while serving the country during the time of the wars in Iraq or Afghanistan. The organization builds or modifies homes, and gifts them, mortgage-free, to veterans and their families. It’s our honor to support the men and women who have loyally and courageously served our country.  Building Homes for Heroes is based in Valley Stream and has gifted 100 homes to our returning heroes.
